Complex Blades

Rotating compressor blades, stationary vanes and variable guide vanes for both aerospace and industrial applications can be produced from precision or oversize forgings, or from bar stock.

Parts of up to 29 inches (735mm) in length and with chordal widths of up to 10 inches (254mm) can be produced in a wide variety of materials including titanium, stainless steel and aluminium.

Tightly toleranced, complex, 3 dimensional airfoils and a wide variety of root fixings including, hammer, internal / external firtree, radial and dovetail can all be accomodated.

Our 5-axis high speed airfoil milling capability can be utilised to produce precision airfoils that require no hand finishing post machining. Additionally, by using 5-axis adaptive milling techniques, mid-span (clapper / snubber) features can be accurately machined without the risk of damage to the surrounding airfoil.
